Natalia Aranovich have been accepted to participate, as a speaker, in the upcoming USPTO Public Roundtable on AI and Protections for the Use of Individuals’ Name, Image, or Likeness (NIL) on August 5, 2024. This important discussion will delve into the ethical and legal implications of AI technology as it intersects with personal rights.
During the roundtable, she will be addressing the crucial topic of using someone’s NIL through AI without authorization. It’s essential for everyone to understand that such actions can have significant legal consequences. In many foreign jurisdictions, unauthorized use of a person’s name, image, or likeness (NIL) is not only a violation of moral rights but can also lead to criminal charges.
She will be sharing insights on how these protections are enforced globally, highlighting the importance of respecting individual rights in the age of AI.
As an attorney deeply involved in Intellectual Property, she is committed to advocating for responsible AI practices and ensuring that we uphold the highest standards of ethical use.
